Under the focus, “Bridges and Light”, the masterplan Hamm to the water (“Hamm ans Wasser”-Masterplan) envisages the artistic mise-en-scène of bridges in the urban area. The aim is to detach these bridges from their purely traffic-based function and literally show them to locals and visitors. Bridges are meant to become events and hence a point of identity for the city. Five artworks have been realised in Hamm to date.
