The spectacularly gleaming cloud shape consists of layered, horizontally mounted acrylic glass plates, which bear narrow, ice-green neon strips. On a cantilever more than five metres long, the objected, which can be pivoted on itself, seems to float over the water, so to speak. The neon object continues the series of installations that examine the dichotomy of nature and technology in the context of the Light Promenade. However, “Cumulus” also makes a festive, inviting candelabra and holds a light not only to the neighbouring Stadttheater, but also to the town’s former north gate.
