Four, ten-metre-long, leaning “glow sticks” – each positioned in the middle of a traffic circle – are divided into colour-changing 1-metre segments and symbolise a “yardstick” that places itself into relation with its spatial surroundings, buildings and people.

As they continue in the mind’s eye, these light lines form an imaginary roof over the town of Bergkamen and, beyond that, a guidance system based on the different colours of each individual light stick.
