Right in the middle of the river’s flow is an island with a single tree. Next to the tree, a jetty is attached, as if for the purpose of fishing, bathing, or mooring a boat. However, the jetty is not made, as is customary, out of wood for example, but out of brightly shining tubes. An island vanishing into the dark is transformed into a place of longing. Spatially, the onlooker remains at a distance; he can follow the light, dreamily step onto the island, in his thoughts.
